I have added a MIME Types chapter to the System Admin Guide at
http://www.gnome.org/learn/admin-guide/2.2/. I know you are saying this
needs to change, but hopefully this chapter will clear things up for the
moment.

The updated System Admin Guide also includes the following new chapters:

- Installing Themes
- Setting Screensavers
- Session Management
- Improving Performance
- Hidden Directories
