Could you please explain a bit  more and provide a link to the relevant
thread in the Mailing list archives for Rythmbox so that we can at least
try to give an informed opinion?

For usability reasons ;P I strongly recommend against cross posting.

It is very hard to give good advice without first taking a close look at
an application, anyone who uses and develops an apppliction will have a
lot of deep insight into how it should work, and expectations can play a
big part in perceived usability.
