Hi Sunnanvind,
Honestly, I didn't mean to pick on you. I tried to stay general in my earlier
mail, as really I am talking about UI changes in general that come from the
usability alias. We documentors have had some surprises in the past with major
changes suddenly popping up, and we had to re-document large chunks. Some of the
design changes did bring clear benefits, others appeared to be arbitrary, other
design changes seemed to detract from earlier useful features. Whereas we are
perfectly willing to redo documentation where design changes are clearly
beneficial, it is a bit frustrating to redo documentation in cases where the
benefit is not so obvious.
So I suppose we have got a bit sensitive about establishing the need for UI
design changes.
Sorry if I seemed to be getting at you,
Pat
