There needs to be a dialog between coders and the UI team. The UI
team needs to address pushback on ideas that are in conflict with
release engineering goals, and comments on the overall goals of the
GNOME UI (what users we want to attract, etc.) are fair game for
anyone, not a domain where anyone has special expertise.
Coders are willing to try new stuff, lots of people have implemented
various instant-apply property boxes. If those work out well the rest
of the coders will follow.
