You're mostly right, the profile combobox should be on top of the
dialog, but because it changes data in all the tabs of the notebook, it
should be outside of it.

I tried to play some time ago with the position of the profile selector
but didn't like very much the results (although it seems a more logical
place), if we can get some opinions it can be changed in 1.1 (sorry, but
there's still a slight chance of getting g-s-t into gnome and they're
already in UI freeze)
