[Setup-tool-hackers] GST 0.22 compilation error

Hi all,
I've just downloaded and installed the 0.22 archive, but compilation 
fails when it's the network module turn:

/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so: undefined reference to `FT_Seek_Stream'
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so: undefined reference to `FT_Get_Short'
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so: undefined reference to `FT_Forget_Frame'
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so: undefined reference to `FT_Access_Frame'
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so: undefined reference to `FT_Get_Long'

My box is running Mandrake Linux 9.0 and the GNOME Desktop it comes with 
(2.0.1), all relevant devel libs are installed, in fact ./configure runs 
with no problems. Should I update to a different version of 
libpango(-devel)?
