I wouldn't go as far as telling him "go fuck yourself" but I agree with
your statement. Supporting the 0.1% that only 2 guys are going to really
need in the lifetime of the tool by means of complicating the gui is a
bad decision. This are the kind of features that nobody really needs,
and even those who really need the feature are not  going to use a gui
tool in the first place.
