[Setup-tool-hackers] Error running Display tool in 0.8

Whenever I try and run the new display tool, it
freezes.  It says the following from the command line:

Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at
/usr/local/share/setup-tool-backends/scripts/x.pl line
1730.

What could be the problem?  Did it install wrong?
