[Setup-tool-hackers] Backup xst

I am setting up my new machine at home right now with xst (as much as I
can, so I can help find bugs) and one thing that is missing is a backup
setup up tool. So, I thought I would put up my ideas and see if some one
was intrested in developing it... if not I will do it :)

1. the tool would have preset important directories to backup like...
   /home/, /var/lib/rpm, /root... etc.
2. tool should use tar, dump or a better one that I don't know about
3. tool should make it easy to hhock up diffrent devices to backup too
(CDR, Tape, remote, etc)

Thoughts?
