It would really be fine, if there could be used more than one
"shotwell library directory" (which I would call photo repository, btw).
And if the databases also could be used at the place where the
photographs are held.
That's, what I elaborated in more detail a while ago.
It would allow transportable photo-repositories / "libraries",
which include the photographs as well as the tags.
I copy of the database in the main shotwell-directory could also be held,
and a sync-operation would be needed then... like with
source-repositories in git or so.
