Restart error

I have googled rather unsuccessfully for the following problem:
brendan brendanhalpin2:~$ sawfish-client -f restart
*** Remote sawfish error: unknown error
Apart from the BEL and the message, nothing seems to be wrong, but
I would like to be reassured that my installation is correct,
particularly as I am experimenting -- I like to know when I have
broken something!
I'm running sawfish 1.3 under Debian/Knoppix.
