[sabayon] New on this list.

Hi all,
this is Alberto Ruiz, and I'm new on this list, I readed about sabayon
on p.g.o, and I think that it's awesome that someone is taking this need
of the free desktops seriously since sometime ago I installed a samba
server on a windows network and I realized that gnome needs something
like windows profiles. So I'll try to help, but I don't really know how
(my knowledge about how gconf works internally are very few).

I have a question for you, I readed that on the Seth's blog:
"Backing GConf with some sort of network store, perhaps LDAP. If we
could get a drop in and run GConf server using the better-be-freed-soon
netscape directory code, that would be awesome."
My question is, ¿why should we avoid the use of OpenLDAP?
