[Rhythmbox-devel] Problems with some MP3-files

Hi,

I'm having a problem with some podcasts (Japancasting), namely this file
http://stevemc.blogmatrix.com/2006/03.29/0000/women_religions.mp3 when i
download it in rhythmbox, it says 'failed' and nothing more (it has
downloaded the file, though).

gst-typefind-0.10 gives me :
women_religions.mp3 - audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)1, layer=(int)3

and totem (using xine-engine) / bmp, says 'MPEG 2.5, Layer 3', and they
both can play it fine, is this something for you? or should i file a bug
with the gstreamer-folks?

I also have problems with AAC-files, it says 'failed' in the status, but
I can play them, but no seeking (why does it say 'failed' ??
'unsupported' or something would be better)

AAC: http://media.libsyn.com/media/jpopblast/25_Ayu_Tribute.m4a

gst-typefind-0.10:
25_Ayu_Tribute.m4a - audio/x-m4a

I'm using the CVS-version (it says 0.94, and i got it from
anoncvs.gnome.org, not sure if you have a newer version anywhere..) and
Debian sid.

One more thing.. Some of the podcasts are mixed audio/video, would it be
possible to mark the videos as 'video' instead of 'failed' ? Just a thought..
