I would like to keep a toolbar item, or some other way to inform the
user as to the current algorithm being used, e.g. linear or some form
of random selection, because it's easy to forget.  There should be
some way of finding out what the status is at a glance, without going
through the menus, so I'd vote for some kind of feedback, ideally a
toolbar button.  Making it work for gtk2 2.6 would be nice. ;-)

As I change often between playing playlists in shuffle mode and whole albums in linear order (and wish I could play a single podcast with nothing following) I would like to keep the toolbar button so I know which order RB is set.

But I'm looking forward to get the alternative play orders as they would make few of my automatic playlists unneccessary (e.g. the top-rated-but-not-recently-played playlist) :)
