That library looks fairly nice.
It would probably mean re-writing the podcast code as a Python plugin,
but that would let us fix some of the insanities of the existing code,
and turning it into a plugin would be good anyway.
I guess we'd need to actually do the work to allow plugins to have
on-disk db entries (but that needs doing anyway) or putting them in
their own podcast.xml db (with some upgrade magic).
