Hey guys,
A while ago I reported an enourmous memory leak while importing m4a
files into RB. Granted I have several gigs of m4a files, but the
memory usage would quickly crash my machine. Anyway, I asked about
this here and was told it was probably a gst-plugins problem.
So I opened a bug with the gstreamer people.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149162
even though it took a little while for someone to pick it up a
wonderfully helpful person named Ronald Bultje eventually checked this
out. The last post in the bug shows what he found and how he mostly
fixed it. However he could not run RB under valgrind to continue
testing to see if any more leaking went on further up the chain. Does
anyone know why this might be and what else could be causing the
remaining memory leaking? Thanks.
John
