[Rhythmbox-devel] Problems in Debian unstable

This morning I upgraded Rhythmbox on my Debian machine to the 0.8.4-3
version which found its way into Unstable over the week-end.  I now get
the message: 

"Could not create audio output element, ..."

when I try to play anything.  I have rerun gst-register-0.6 and
gst-register-0.8 and gst-player does not have any problems playing my
files.

Can someone throw me a bone?
