As followup,

trying to get rhythmbox compiled with Suns compiler, i had to remore the
-Wno-error option from the Makefiles, since Suns compiler doesn't
regocnizes it.
also, under solaris 10, X_OPEN_SOURCE is no longer needed/supported.
