[Rhythmbox-devel] Rhythmbox library?

I was wondering about the possibility of Rhythmbox installing a library
for other applications to link against that would allow access to RB's
playlists, music, perhaps even they playback system.  I'd like to
develop an application similar to the ipod's Music Quiz game or Rock
Star (http://freshlysqueezedsoftware.com/products/rockstar/) on top of
RB, but would need access to those things.   I could duplicate the code,
but it would be easier and obviously preferable to use Rhythmbox's code
directly.

Any thoughts?
