Strictly speaking, it's already an applet.  If it was a tray icon it would
only display what track/music it was displaying.  But as soon as you added
the controls play, next, stop etc I believe it's an applet.

We really need something thats both.  Unfortunately we have no rules on what
a notification icon really is...
