Colin,

Just checked this out and it looks like the authors.xml file being
generated is a valid xml file, whilst it is actually included into the
rhythmbox.xml file by yelp. 

Not writing the '<?xml version="1.0"?>' line to the file does the trick
(I would attach a patch, but anoncvs seems to be not playing with me
today).
