fix for gnome-vfs 2.12 show-stopper

Hi,

I've created a patch for this bug

which is a showstopper. Basically it fixes a serious problem whereby the
hal backend for gnome-vfs doesn't add all the required drives/volumes
which makes, among other things, trash not work. 

Patch have got some testing from various people (see the comments in the
bug) plus I've also got an OK from Alexander (comment 23).

Is this OK to commit?
