After some more testing and consultation with jdub, I've put all these
into the Evo 2.2 release.  Scream if somethings really wrong.

As a team we had a few more last minute fixes than I wanted, but we did
better than last time and we did it with 1 week of RC time and in the 6
month cycle, so all is not lost :-).
