Hard to tell - is it still going? When's the next release scheduled? I
like it, but it needs more functionality - not bad for 0.14.2
Development has been slow for a while, but I'm joining as
developer/maintainer at the moment. I'm hoping I will be able to put in
the time needed to implement some long requested features as well as
work through the bug database to see what needs fixing.
There are however only a few developers on this project, so it may not
progress as quickly as one would hope. Needless to say we are always
open to contributions/patches.
Related to this, if people are interested in planner development and
need some info to get started, drop by on irc. Our channel is #planner
on GIMPnet. There are only a few people now, so you may have to wait a
while for a response. I'm hoping this will change in the future. You're
welcome to come and idle if you like =)
Best regards,
Maurice.
Hi Maurice,
that's great news =) It will be good to see Planner gain some more
"speed" once again, IMHO it is a very strategic business app for GNOME
(and Linux in general), and it sure needs some tweaks ;-)
I wish you a smooth sailing =)
One problem is that there was lot of support dropped away when Imendio
stopped developing Planner.
Well I should take a look how it runs on Windows too, it's been long
time since I touched those parts of code and gnome libs have gone much
further since then.
And then I would be able to also contribute some code too, I seem to
have too much spare time... :)
