And when I change fonts and font sizes through Gnome preferences, the
misalignment goes along for the ride. :-)

Thanks for the quick response.  On occasion, this can be a problematic
issue as I scroll down to the bottom of the Gantt chart, and some of the
tasks are inaccessible on the left (the scroll bar stops at the bottom
of the Gantt chart.)  It would be nice to nail it down, or at least a
workaround.
