[Planner] What does the "Unlink task" do?

Hi,

I am doing a project plan with Planner but cannot find any up to date
documentation on it. I have successfully done a project and given it
tasks but am wondering what does the "Unlink task" do when right
clicking on any task?

Can someone give a link to an up to date reference
guide/documentation/faq for Planner?
