Hi,
this is a minor bug, since you can work around it, but IMHO it deserves
attention nonetheless.
Here's what I see:
- if I open planner, load a project and hit "Print Preview", a portrait
page is shown. If I close it and open it again, it comes in landscape,
and this holds for subsequent previews
- it is very hard (imposssible?) to "fit to print", i.e. zoom the
project so that it will fit the whole page, if you're using landscape
view. Here if I hit the "zoom to fit the entire project" button it
appears ok on the screen, but print preview shows me that gantt chart
uses approximately 33% of the available printing area of the page --
regardless of the orientation (landscape or portrait).
In order to work around this, I have to: "zoom to fit" -> zoom in a
couple of times -> check print preview -> repeat last two steps until
it comes close to what would have been a "fit to print". This process
of course is not accurate and generally leads to suboptimal use of the
printing area.
IMHO a "fit to window" on the print preview (and on the print dialog)
that would adjust zoom factor to use maximum available printing area
would do it.
Anyone else can confirm the behavior described above? Any comments? Am I
missing something?
(using latest planner 0.13 on FC4)
Despite this, planner is invaluable to me as it allows me to avoid MS
Project and thus to work entirely on Linux. Thks a lot for that =)
Best,
Andre
