  (Sorry about the delay -- I was off for a week on vacation...)

  This is a problem for those running the Fedora Core2 release, as it
requires you to back-rev automake.  I tried it once, and while I don't
remember the details, it got really messy really quick with cascading
dependencies breaking lots of other packages.  It's been a while, but I
can go back and try again and try to give you more specifics.
