Hi,
There's a new release of Exmap (0.6.2) at http://www.berthels.co.uk/exmap.
Exmap is a tool for analysing shared memory (physical and now swap)
usage amongst multiple processes and libraries.
regards,
jb
Highlights of changelog from 0.5:
- accounting for swap as well as physical mem usage (including sharing
of pages). "Mapped" is now resident-or-swapped, "Resident" is physical
memory usage (i.e. the equivalent of "Mapped" in 0.5).
- addition of "sole mapped size" for pages uniquely used by a process
- kernel locking changed, hopefully the "deadlock under memory
pressure" bug is fixed.
- when running as root, setuid to file owner before opening, to handle
mmap'd files over NFS.
- include copyright notices and GPL
