how to keep tcp connections alive

hi,
   i am using orbit2 in an corba application.when my client sends data
to the server it opens a tcp connection and closes it after data is sent
(though it all happens internally, i don't get to know were it is
opening the connection and where it is closing).Now i don't want to
close the tcp connection so that next time i don't need to open it.Is
there anything in orbit2 to achieve that?
