The destroy() method is a standard method on the CORBA::ORB interface.
See section 4.2.5.5 in the 3.0.3 specification. The C language mapping
does not directly need to include a specific reference to
CORBA_ORB_destroy() as it is included in the mapping that namespace
scoping is done with '_' characters.

Yes they should have. destroy() frees internal resources used by the ORB
object so it is only to be expected.
