Well - I'd rather force people to run the tests with working reverse
lookup and exercise all the code paths, than routinely omit thousands of
critical code paths from being tested at release :-)

In the default / Gnome setup many of those paths are not used; there is
no requirement for reverse DNS to work unless you want to use IPv4 /
off-machine comms.
