Undefined symbol: _res_9_init

Greetings,

I am attempting to build ORBit2 2.10.0 here on Mac OS X 10.3.3 and 
while linking "libORBit-2.la" I am getting:

     ld: Undefined symbols:
     _res_9_init

I have grep'ed around and I am not able to find any definitions or 
references to the symbol (without the preceding underscore) in any of 
the ORBit source code or in any of the dependent source code. So I am 
confused as to where it comes from and why it is found in "liblinc.a" 
and "linc-protocols.o". I have also Googled with zero matches found.

I do get a match in resolv.h:
     /usr/include/resolv.h:#define res_init                  res_9_init

Any suggestions, hints and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
