ORBit_copy_value and strings ?

Hi,

I still have no clue why strings after transfer form client to server
become "empty" or filled with random characters. I now have read that
"ORBit_copy_value" is to be sued for octet sequences, does the same
apply for strings.

Is there any example available how a string is to be transferred through
a CORBA-link and the content is to be read or used after the transfer ?
