"oneway's" over UDP would certainly give a performance boost.

It seems to me there was talk along this line at the OMG.   However, UDP
doesn't guarentee delivery.

Hmm...   You might look at the Real-Time SIG work.   There might be further
discussion there.

In an embedded system that is constantly generating "data"....  eg. a
sensor UDP==oneway is ideal.  especially since the data will be regenerated
relatively soon.

      Nope, not as far as I'm aware. It'd be great to fold back your
profile
work into the main ORBit2 so it understands it, and add a linc protocol
for that profile.
