You mean the location of installed IDL files for a given package?
Extract the 'idldir' variable from the package's .pc file:

[gnome2] 18:32:30 [cactus@galaxy libbonobo]$ pkg-config --variable=idldir libbonobo-2.0
/home/cactus/prog/gnome/gnome2/sandbox/share/idl/bonobo-2.0
