Re: orbit2 build, orbit1 work_pending()

Turns out my woes are mostly caused by the python threading model -- not by
orbit/gtk/glib main loop problems. A work_pending() would still be more
flexible, and would work around the python problems I'm having. But I can get
pygtk and orbit-python running at the same time by compiling them both w/o
thread support.
