ORBit writev patches and current ORBit releases

There is a set of writev changes which has been in CVS
for a long time:

configure.in
src/IIOP/giop-msg-buffer.c
src/ORBitutil/compat.c
src/ORBitutil/compat.h
src/ORBitutil/orbit-os-config.h.in
docs/idl-compiler.txt

But don't seem to have made it into any of the
releases.  I've been patching the releases to make
them work well with IRIX for a while.  How do I get
the patches included in a release?
