What didn't compile; ORBit or Satellite? What happended?

Try setting the environment variable CERTIFIED_GNOMIE to something before 
configuring and compiling the ORBit snapshot.

Satellite uses the Dynamic Invocation Inteface (DII) part of the CORBA 
standard. This is poorly supported in "stock ORBit".

If ORBit-Python is like ORBit-PERL it uses ORBit internals and not 
functions standardized by OMG...
