NetworkManager and vmware bridged network?

Is anyone on the list using vmware on a machine running NetworkManager?
It appears that there is some sort of race condition when vmware sets up
its bridged NIC (vmnet0) to bridge to a NetworkManager-managed nic
(eth0, for example).  This usually happens within a few minutes of
vmware setting up vmnet0, and it hangs the machine.

This is happening on a laptop running ubuntu breezy, with the
network-manager 0.5.1-0ubuntu1 package obtained from
http://bootlab.org/~j/NetworkManager-breezy/

Anyone have any clues for me on this?  Any hints on how to debug?
