I used a clean cvs ... then applied the patch ... then autogen and make.


I'm getting another error then before, Dan Williams thought that it is because the slackware backend is outdated in src.

No clue.  I cannot see how the patch I was referring to could have
caused that sequence of errors.  Try cleaning the tree, and re-running
the './autogen.sh' script, then building again.
