NetworkManager vs. AR5212 802.11abg Wireless NIC

Hi,

I've been trying to get NM working on my Thinkpad T41 with an the IBM
Atheros AR5212 802.11abg NIC.  I just installed the latest RPM and am
still struggling.

The behavior I'm seeing now is quite weird.  I have a linksys WRT54G
running in G-only mode on channel 11 with a 128 WEP key.  When I start
NM and try to connect to the AP I see ath0 cycle through the b/g
frequencies, hit the a freqs, and then get stuck cycling through only
the a frequenciecs.  Is NM doing something to lock my NIC into 802.11a
mode somehow?
