Hi all,
I am using FC3 with NM 3.1 and 2 wired ethernet cards.
I want that both lans to be active, but only a default
gw set to the prefered net (maybe a priority will help
here).
NM3.1 take out the connected route from the non
preffered card, and that local net is not accessible
anymore.
Then if one lan fails (link down, or card removed,
etc), the default gw will move to the remaining active
lan if is not already there.
Then, there should be a PREEMPTION option, that says
that if a more prioritar lan is active again (link up
again or card plugged in), NM will switch the default
gw to it, or not if preemtion is off.
In NM 3.1, there is no prevention of setting a network
with no link to be preffered: the wired eth cards with
no link should be out of possible choices, greyed out
or some icon to show there is no link on that card.
Thanks,
Paul
