Tagging files

Hello list,

Is there a way to "tag files" in nautilus? I found some (acutally only
one) references to some sort of "tagging extension" (here:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/marketing-list/2006-January/msg00004.html).
Does this exist? If so, where can it be found?
