Usability issue in nautilis

Hi,
  I'm new to linux and gnome and nautilus. and while i am starting out, i
tried to use the zoom out feature, however when i hit 'ctrl' and '+' and
'-' nothing happened. I thought that it was confusing and it appeared
you wanted me to type control followed by a plus symbol and then a minus
symbol. I was thinking that if you made the '+' between the symbols bold
it would make things much clearer.
