Good point. Joe: We should really make a plan on how beagle and nautilus should integrate for 2.14, specifically wrt indexing/metadata. Are there any docs online explaining what beagle does when indexing and where it keeps around its metadata? Maybe it's time for a shared lib which can be used to set/get metadata for a location, which either uses ~/.nautilus/metafiles or extended attributes where available. Since Nautilus should provide key-value information to the user in 2.14 [1] in tooltips or elsewhere, maybe a metdata framework is appropriate, or Nautilus should somehow use beagle to get/set these. Any ideas? [1] http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147642 -- Christian Neumair <chris gnome-de org>
