[2.8] open folder with ... ?

got a question :)

before the change in the mime system (nautilus-2.6) I could assign
actions to folders, i.e. I could specify a folder to open with gthumb.

That seems no longer possible in 2.8. Although I can add applications in
the folder -> properties -> open with dialog they become not available
in the right-click menu of a folder

Is there another way to do this in 2.8?
