I think this was removed in the spatial/browser change, since it was
mostly used in order to fake a spatial-like ui when we didn't have a
real spatial mode.
However, I'm not sure we can remove the gconf key from the schemas files
without causing backwards compatibility problems. Does anyone know what
the rules here are? Should we add a note that the key is deprecated?
