I would like my desktop path to point to my home directory. With
nautilus-2.0.6 (redhat 8.0) this was possible to configure using the
"prefrences" GUI. In redhat 9 (nautilus-2.2.1) this option was removed
from the GUI, but I discovered I could still add the line
<entry name="desktop_is_home_dir" mtime="1581714062" muser="justin"
type="bool" value="true"/>
to the prefrences configuration file and make it work. Now with
nautilus-2.4.0 (Fedora 1) this is no longer possible as the file
$HOME/.gconf/apps/nautilus/preferences/%gconf.xml
is auto-rewritten and I cannot effect a manual change. How can I make the
desktop display my home directory?
Justin
