Full ack. I always thought that. Now I went and made a little Gimp image
to see how it would look with a more compact layout and I'm even more
convinced that it would be the way to go:

What do you think? Is this simply a matter of taste or does it really
look so much better? It also takes up less screenspace and is much more
consistent with other applications (even yelp). Is there some important
usability reason why Nautilus needs the current large paddings or did
the Eazel guys simply prefer this look?
